Lake Sabrina is located about 19 miles west of Bishop,CA in the Eastern Sierras. The lake is about 9,500 ft in elevation so the best time of year to go is late spring through the summer. Don't forget to bring your fishing rod since this area is known for some of California's best trout fishing. We backpacked six miles throught the basin up to Hungry Packer Lake. The hike is a moderate hike with about 1,500ft gain in elevation. Wildflowers and water are plentiful along this hike. You pass by many lakes and there are lots of great spots to set up camp. Just be sure to bring your bug spray...the mosquitoes are real mean in the early evening.
