Snowboarding in Mammoth was fun!
We rented some kayaks for the day to go around the Palos Verdes bend. We started at the Catalina Room, which is where the old MarineLand used to be. I think they're building a world class resort there now, so beach access may be limited.
Exploring the PV Peninsula via kayak is amazing. There are a bunch of great spots to explore. You'll find everything from sandy beaches, rocky reefs, to kelp forests. Be ready to do some paddling!
This is a great spot to camp at. There is a parking lot at the beginning of the Treasure Lakes Trail. The hike can be a little tough, especially with the 70 pounds I had on my back. It's a 3 mile hike, with a gain of 850'. You start at South Lake, which is at 9,800' and make your way up to Treasure Lake which is at 10,650'.
